A tiger, much like ‘Gabbar’, Josey Wales or Al Capone doesn’t need to be seen to be feared. His arrival in the neighborhood is enough.
A male Peafowl’s seduction dance (yes, with another male /yes, transgender behavior does exist in the natural world..) is rudely interrupted by a panicked Chital couple when they sense a tiger in the vicinity.
If you look carefully, you’ll see a Brahminy Starling also getting the f’ heck outta Dodge.
He’s not king for nothing.
Hello, Abhinav,
These are some of the most exquisite animal photographs I have ever seen. “Timeless Beauties” and “The Queen Returns” are my favorites. Thank you for taking the time to share your work.

Hi Carol! …and thanks so much for taking the time to go through my blog and for your very kind message! It thrills me when I can share some of what I experience with others who are like-minded, and its even nicer when I hear from them in person. Hope to hear from you again.
warm regards,
Abhinav
May 16, 2016 at 9:50 pmHello, Abhinav,
Thank you for your invitation to write again. It will be my pleasure to do so . . .from halfway around the world! I spent some time this evening in your archives. My new favorite is “Symmetry, Design and Perspective”. The light is amazing – I couldn’t even begin to guess how you captured that. How did you?
May 18, 2016 at 10:42 amHello again, Carol! I assume you mean the front on shot of the B&W leopard. That was shot on foot with the headlights of our jeep facing him. Quite a riveting moment!
May 21, 2016 at 5:15 pmHello, Abhinav,
I just now saw this. Yes, that shot. Thank you for explaining how you did that; now I am not puzzled anymore. The image is quite surreal . . . dramatic. I imagine that was a rare opportunity to capture yet another . . . perfect moment. Keep em’ coming!
